À l’ère du Big Analog Data, l’importance de données, de la mesure en passant par la gestion jusqu’à l’analyse, ne cesse de croître. Cette série de présentations explore toutes les étapes de ce processus, en particulier les nouvelles tendances et les innovations technologiques, que National Instruments intègre continuellement dans sa large gamme de produits. De cette manière, nous sommes en mesure de fournir constamment aux utilisateurs de nouveaux champs d’applications et des solutions innovatrices. Volume, velocity, variety, veracity, and complexity characterize Big Data. An example is the integration of data from research, development, production, and maintenance in business processes. The entirety of these data forms a huge volume representing an immense value in the context of business processes, in case visibility of the contained information can be created. The presented concept integrates DataFinder and DIAdem with the information system HyperTest in order to enable tapping and processing of the deluge of data integrating them in the context of higher level business.

Automated Test Facility for Satellites and Space Probe Components

RUAG Space is the leading supplier of products for the space industry in Europe. At the location Zurich/Seebach, RUAG Space is manufacturing electro-mechanical devices to be applied on spacecrafts and satellites. Before being delivered to the customer these mechanisms have to undergo extensive tests at environmental conditions similar to the ones found in space. In order to reduce the costs for the testing, specifically of serial products, to maximize the throughput at the assembly line and to minimize the human influence on the test, a fully automatic data acquisition and control system has been developed, which is able to perform complete test campaigns without operator interaction. This system is based on the NI CompactDAQ platform and designed in a modular setup. The related software has been developed in NI LabVIEW. The first implementations of the system have already been commissioned and are now operated on a regular basis.

A Selection Guide to Choose the Best Hardware and Software Platform for Dynamic Signal Analysis, Illustrated by Use Cases

The control allow to verify manufactured product conformity to the market requirements and specifications. Matching of the vibro-acoustic signatures is an objective means of identifying nonconformities. For that, you need to use specific hardware to measure dynamic signal. We will see how to select the appropriate hardware in the DSA range and how to use S&V toolset to be successful in your test. NI CompactRIO-CompactDAQ System for Dynamic Measurements on Hydraulic Turbomachinery Model Testing

The implementation of a dynamic measurements system to acquire in a faster way the efficiency characteristics on hydraulic turbomachinery model testing is presented. The architecture includes one cRIO-9074 to autonomously regulate the hydraulic test-rig and two cDAQ-9174 for the testing model measurements/monitoring and for the synchronised acquisition of dynamic signals from different sensors.
